Xaureum was built because no tool answered the one question every prospector actually needs answered: is gold likely right here, right now?
Recreational prospectors had three options: printed PDF geology maps that were static and impossible to use in the field, Google Maps with no geology or gold data whatsoever, or expensive guided tours at AUD $200-500 per day.
None of them answered the question. Xaureum does. GPS position plus government geology data plus a scoring algorithm that understands gold trap physics equals a probability heatmap that tells you exactly where to dig.
X for exploration. Aureum from the Latin for golden. The name captures exactly what this is: a tool for the modern explorer, built on the science of gold.
Xaureum is a product of Fly High Digital, a Perth-based digital business studio building niche data-driven platforms across Australia and internationally.
Perth sits at the doorstep of some of the world's richest alluvial goldfields. We built Xaureum for the people who spend their weekends out there with a detector and a pan, looking for colour.
We will never sell your location data. Community find contributions are anonymised by design — no user ID is stored against a community find. Your dig log is yours and only yours.
We use only publicly available government geological survey data. We do not invent or fabricate geology data. If we do not have real government data for a region, that region is not available in the app.
